Psychologist/ Provisional PsychPsychologist/ Provisional Psych with extensive counselling and psychotherapy experience required to join us on a part-time or sub-contractor basis, 1-2 days per week, with the capacity to increase over time if desired.

The role will involve providing assessment, intervention/treatment to adults and/ or children and/ or couples with various presentations. We offer administration support, peer supervision and a collegiate work environment. Hours are negotiable and flexible. A minimum of one day per week which can be done after school hours or Saturdays if this suits the incumbent.

Provisional psychologist would be employed on a part-time basis and must have existing Primary supervision/ plan in place. Secondary supervision by our Principal would be provided on a fortnightly to address BayWellbeing client case load. Liaison with the Primary Supervisor is possible.
Essential Criteria:
  • Full / provisional registration as a psychologist with AHPRA
  • Eligibility to obtain Medicare provider number (fully registered psych);
  • Current Working with Children Check and Police Check;
  • Current professional indemnity insurance (or able to obtain);
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health assessment, counselling and therapy;
  • Demonstrated experience developing therapeutic formulations & determining plan for therapy;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work autonomously;
Desirable Criteria:
  • Family therapy training and/or experience
  • Play therapy training and/or experience

Family Therapist - ContractorThe role will involve providing assessment and family therapy to families often where one member of the family is attending individual counselling within the practice. There is scope to provide individual counselling to child, adolescent and adult clients with various presentations if this is within the skill set of the incumbent. The focus of the practice is on counselling and therapy. We offer administration support, peer supervision and a collegial work environment.

Hours are 100% negotiable and flexible. A minimum of one day per week which can be done in after school hours or Saturdays if this suits the incumbent.
Essential Criteria:
  • Full registration as a psychologist with AHPRA or Membership of AASW with Mental Health Accreditation or Degree
  • Qualified Counsellor with Membership of one of the Australian Counsellor organisations such as PACFA.
  • Eligibility to obtain Medicare provider number (depending on profession);
  • Current Working with Children Check and Police Check;
  • Current professional indemnity insurance (or able to obtain);
  • Demonstrated experience working with young people and their families to support a range of emotional and social issues;
  • Family therapy training and experience;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously;
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience in clinical work with children, adolescents and adults;
  • Family therapy training and/or experience
